Everyone knows I have nothing important to say. This is where I showcase my unimportantness.

Under My Umbrella . . . or Lack Thereof

Another rainy day in Bowing Green, KY. With the recent hit 'Umbrella' from Rhianna, it also brought with it a rise in popularity of umbrellas. In fact, sales for actual umbrellas sky rocketed following the release of the hit single. I'm not sure if any of this is true . . . but I didn't take notice and left my apartment without one today.

This leads me to you slow walking, umbrella-toting individuals. Nothing gets on my nerves more than how rude, cocky, and arrogant you people are! Sure, I'm excited for you that you were well prepared for today's inclement weather . . . but walk a little faster! I'm walking behind you all with no shelter over my head getting soaked. The faster I get to my destination, the better! It's not an option to go around you when there is nothing but muddy puddles on either side of the sidewalk, or if we're stuck between barriers walking up and down stairs.

However, if you catch me on a day that I am prepared and you aren't . . . I'm not speeding up. You should always know when it's going to rain, idiot. But you know what, if you really want to . . . you can stand under my umbrella . . . ella ella eh eh eh.

Time Flies

I gotta say, time sure does fly right on by. I just noticed it's been over a month since my last post. I know, that's not as bad as it's been . . . but it truly feels like yesterday that I posted that.

As I sit in this class . . . Sociology 100 . . . I'm feeling old. I never thought I would feel old. There are certain topics that are brought up in class that no one else knows about but me. Mary Kay Letourneau? No one knew the name except me . . . I know they weren't that young when that was going on. I mean when she recently got out of jail it made the news again. I guess I was about 11, they were about 8.

Also when speaking of the Challenger explosion, which happened before I was born - yet the same year I was born, no one in here was born in the year 1986 or before. Wow.

And other things going on . . . I hopefully graduate in May. However, I have yet to file my degree program which the marketing department (my minor) has the reputation of taking forever to look at it. This isn't good because I won't be able to sign up for my last semester classes until that goes through. Way to procrastinate, Kody. But seriously, how was I supposed to know this would creep up on me so quickly?

Senior Goals

It's that time of life again . . . I'm a senior. Sure, I've been a senior in high school so I can handle being a senior in college, right? Well it's true. I can handle it. But not without doing one thing. As I walked up the hill today for the first time this semester I realized there was one major goal that needs to be accomplished before graduation . . .That's right - I'm a senior and I have yet to run through the fountain. I'm writing this to see if there is anyone else out there that would like to run through the fountain with me sometime, if there are any takers please let me know!

Ahh, roommates.

Short but sweet. Thought you had bad roommates? Check this out. (To make it faster for you, just scroll down and look through the pictures. Basically they let the big woman stay there and that's what happened.)

Stonehenge

Professor: You know, experts actually know a rough idea of when Stonehenge was built. They have carbon dating that can give them a general idea.

(Student interrupts)

Student: Carbon dating wouldn't work.

Professor: I'm sure rock has carbon in it.

Student: Carbon dating will tell you how old the rock is . . . not when that rock was moved.

Yeah, I thought that was worthy to put on here. You don't think so? Well I'll talk about my feelings and stuff . . . is that what you want? Didn't think so!

When Will It Get Cold?

I'm ready for it to get cold and stay cold. It's November . . . that just sounds like a cold month. Around this time of year (when it should be getting colder) people start complaining that they'd wish it would hurry up and get cold. This causes something that gets on my nerves. Whenever I hear someone say they wish it would get cold, someone else always chimes in as if they are deeply offended by the statement. It's almost as if they believe the person that wished the coldness actually might have some kind of an effect on the climate.

In short, it's November and it needs to be cold. And don't turn your heat up to an uncomfortable level . . . you're helping to deplete the ozone layer!

Clocks

I haven't posted in a loooong time, but something has happened that needed to be talked about. So here I am to mention it.
There is something to be said when the electricity goes off and then comes back on at 12:00. There's simply no apparent need to reset your clocks. I woke up the other day and noticed my clock flashing, figuring I had slept later than it implied. I looked at my phone, and it was the same time. So now all the clocks in the apartment have a psychadelic flashing effect to them. And they're telling me the right time. I'm not sure if anyone else has ever experienced this . . . but it is heaven.
